An Exciting Time for the School of Management
26/04/2012
In just four months, Cranfield has seen students win awards at the Venture Capital Investment Competition, the launch of the new Cranfield 2012 Scholarships and a reaccreditation that has retained our position as one of an elite group of business schools worldwide to hold triple EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditation.
Early this year, the release of the Cranfield Full Time MBA Employment Report established that our top ranking MBA programme is continuing to deliver in the form of an annual talent pool of highly sought after graduates.
The report announced that 87% of 2011 Full Time MBA students accepted substantive job offers within 3 months of graduation, a rise from the previous year and an outstanding achievement demonstrating Cranfield's resilience to the current employment climate. It revealed the average UK salary of students jumping from £31,135 to £63,923, whilst highlighting positive sector and function transitions as high as 71%.
Cranfield's Career Development team has also impacted impressively on the school's global reputation for delivering excellence, by introducing a new recruitment initiative in the form of sector specific events. They have also coordinated a two week excursion to Asia to secure a new range of extensive recruitment initiatives, and in May they are holding a specialist Defence networking event.
While Cranfield has always remained a close community, more recently the School of Management has been building on that strength by integrating services to alumni as well as students with the introduction of a new Alumni Career Development Service. Both the Career Development team and the Alumni Relations & Development Office are working hard to deliver this positive new incentive and more will be announced in the future to celebrate their activities.
