Innovative loan programme available to Cranfield MBAs

24/02/2012

Cranfield School of Management has teamed up with Prodigy Finance Limited to offer an innovative loan programme to help students accepted onto the Cranfield full-time MBA finance their studies at competitive rates.

Developed specifically for successful MBA applicants, the Prodigy loan programme allows students to take out loans from a fund invested in by the University, alumni and friends of the School.

Unlike traditional banks, Prodigy Finance uses a predictive scorecard to assess a student’s future potential rather than basing decisions on current or historic salary. The platform is borderless, differentiating it from the localised templates typically used. Ryan Steele, Chief Operating Officer at Prodigy Finance said: “We deliberately only partner with world-class business schools like Cranfield that offer leading MBA programmes that consistently perform well in the major MBA rankings. The programme provides alumni and other investors the opportunity to earn a competitive return on their investment while helping to fund future business leaders. The entire loan process, from application through repayment, is online, making it simple and straight-forward for students.”

Commenting on the news, Executive Director of the full-time MBA at Cranfield School of Management, David Simmons said: “This is a really exciting development. The Prodigy programme will give prospective students access to a source of funding dedicated to the Cranfield MBA. Those who are fortunate enough to secure a place on our MBA programme will be eligible to apply for a loan through Prodigy Finance, as the programme covers over 150 countries.“

The Cranfield MBA is not just about acquiring the skills and techniques of general management; it is also about building confidence, emotional intelligence, decision making skills and team working abilities – the qualities that make for inspirational leaders.

There is no formal deadline to apply for the Cranfield MBA. However places on the course are limited so early application is recommended.
